Having struggled with Psoriasis since I was around 12 years old (I am now 21), my psoriasis only flares up as a result of getting a throat infection or tonsillitis. I got tonsillitis at the end of Feb 2016 and am now covered in psoriasis head to toe. Previously I have been treated with UV light therapy, however, I am aware that I have now had too many minutes for my age and so this treatment is no longer available. I am still waiting to see the Dermotologist as an emergency case, but 2 days ago my doctor prescribed me Prednisolone for 10 days on 30mg. After just 2 days I have seen such an improvement, but now I am reading so many stories saying that after taking Prednisolone that the psoriasis comes back a lot worse, does anybody know if this will be the case after taking them for 10 days? As I do not want to risk my psoriasis coming onto my face which is the only area not affected at the moment. The doctor hasn't said anything about weening me off he has just given me 10 days worth of the same dosage... Also, I have finally been given an appointment to see about having an tonsillectomy, so fingers crossed!!
